We present you with a road race over quiet
country lanes. Although mainly flat there are some interesting rise and fall
areas spread over the course.
The Start is at the Rose & Crown pub.
You will pass the
church (number 1 on the map) and cross the village square. Next is Willey Road which you will
pass twice today. This first time you turn right at the end (number
2 on the map) where you will face the toughest climb of the race. The course
leads you back past the Start, the church and the square again where you will
be cheered on by the on-lookers.
On towards Willey Road again for the second
time. This time you turn left at the end of the road (number 3 on the map) to
make your way along a nice long flat stretch on Meare Green. Marshalls will point you in the right direction all the way. You will be guided left on to
Broad Lane through lovely quiet lanes.
After a few kilometers you will get to Huntham Lane where you
get ready for the last bit of climbing (number 4 on the map) and straight back
to the square where the finish, surrounded by an enthousiastic audience, is
awaiting you after a challenging 10 kilometers run.
